Solutions / CDN & edge networks

The next node.
In the right place.

Plan infrastructure where your delivery network needs a presence. Match the location, working set and traffic profile to the job each node will do.

Plan your next node

From requirement to deployment

01

Start with the node’s job.

Cache storage, request processing and regional application tasks have different requirements. Define the working set, I/O pattern and expected traffic before choosing the machine or rack footprint.

02

Treat connectivity as a specification.

Describe normal and peak traffic, protocol requirements and the networks you need to reach. Agree the available ports, allowances, measurement method and overage terms for the selected location.

03

Validate before repeating.

Set deployment acceptance criteria around the node’s intended role. Where a pilot is useful, agree its scope and measurement method before extending the configuration to other locations.

The first conversation

Bring the brief.
We’ll work through it.

Routing options, connectivity and network features are confirmed per location. No latency, peering or throughput guarantee is implied by the directory.

Plan your next node
  1. The node

Software role, compute needs, cache or storage footprint.

  2. The traffic

Protocols, normal load, peaks and target networks.

  3. The rollout

Preferred cities, validation criteria and expansion sequence.
